Rebecca Buttignol is the owner of Wave Healing Arts and is a licensed massage therapist and holistic esthetician.
She has her BA in Applied Psychology from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She discovered massage therapy and facial treatments while living and working at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 1987 and has been following the path of holistic healing since then obtaining her training in massage therapy from New Mexico Academy of Massage and Advanced Healing Arts and in Esthetics from Institute of Skin Science as well as certification in Facial Rejuvenation, Access Bars, Polarity, Reiki III and Attunement.
She received her certification as a holistic esthetician with Dr. Hauschka Skin Care in 1997 and has also trained in and worked with some of the most renowned natural skin care lines in the world such as Aveda, Jurlique, Ilike Organic, Raw Gaia, Sea Flora Wild Organic Skin Care and Living Libations. She is excited to begin a new journey with StarflowerEssentials Organic Skincare!
She has additional training in Deep Emotional Release Bodywork, Emotional Release Acupressure, Energy Psychotherapy , Emotional Freedom Techniques, Natural Facial Rejuvenation,Thai Yoga Massage, Happy Face Yoga, Sound Healing with Tuning Forks & Transformational Journaling. She is currently in a Yoga Teacher certification program with the intention of adding individual Yogassage sessions!
Other interests and practices include dance movement meditations such as 5 Rhythms, Chakra Dance and Journey Dance of which she is an Apprentice Jouney Dance Facilitator. She has continuing education in vibrational healing modalities such as aromatherapy, flower/ocean essences and gemstone and crystal healing for spiritual, mental and emotional well-being. She has worked in private practice and spas; including Solari in Portsmouth, NH and The Cliff House Maine and has owned her own spa and shops; the original Wave Spa Shop in downtown Portsmouth, NH and Wave Healing Arts at The Shops in Cape Neddick, ME as well as her home studio in Ogunquit, ME.
